ORANGE--The NASS survey forecast Florida's orange crop to reach 7.6 million tons in 2007/08. An estimate 7.2 million tons of this crop will be used to make juice. NASS forecasts Florida's frozen concentrated orange juice yield per box for the 2007/08 season at 1.60 gallons per box, 3% below last season. Based on that forecast juice yield per box, ERA estimates that 1.1 billion gallons of orange juice, single strength equivalent, will be produced this season, 22% more than last season, according to ERS Fruit and Tree Nuts Outlook report.
