Recall spreads through food industry.(WASHINGTON)

The U.S.' largest meat recall was expanded to include processed foods that used the meat. GENERAL MILLS INC., for instance, recalled 35,000 cases of its Progresso Italian Wedding soup because it contained beef from a supplier that got meat from the HALLMARK/WESTLAND plant. NESTLE PREPARED FOODS CO. also recalled some of its Hot Pocket sandwiches that contain beef from a vendor that used Hallmark/Westland. The recall includes approximately 49,000 cases of Hot Pockets in several varieties including: Hot Pockets Philly Steak & Cheese and Hot Pockets Croissant Crust Philly Steak & Cheese sandwiches.
