Contractor leases commercial units in new Trane marketing program

LARGO, Fla. -- There could be a marked increase in light and heavy commercial equipment changeouts in the Tampa Bay area if United Air Conditioning & Heating's marketing plan pans out.

The contractor, thanks to The Trane Company (its major supplier) and Citicorp, is leasing high-tonnage packaged units and chilled-water systems to existing commercial accounts and planting the leasing seed in the minds of new customers.

"Just as we're always trying to find new avenues to increase sales, so are the Trane people endeavoring to find new sales tools for its dealer network," said Marty Moskowicz, United's sales manager.
