The 40th annual meeting of the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) included discussion on a wide range of topics such as industry regulation and equipment standards. For example, the Department of Energy is soliciting comment on a proposal to increase the minimum standards for central air conditioners and heat pumps. Other topics discussed included dissemination of ARI equipment efficiency data and the use of alternative refrigerants in model building regulations.
