eBay Buys Deja Technology.(Brief Article)

Half.com, an eBay company, is acquiring Deja.com's Precision Buying Service technology, which provides comparison shopping and consumer review technology, to accelerate its move into new product categories and provide enhanced search services. It's also hiring Deja's development team in Austin, Texas to help it to expand into new product categories.

With the sale of its Precision Buying Service, Deja is now left with its Usenet Discussion Service.

Half.com, which eBay acquired in July, runs a marketplace where buyers and sellers trade books, CDs, movies and video games at fixed prices that are typically half -off list prices.
