Every child of school age in North America and Europe should have broadband access in the home. And, yes, a PC as well.

To accomplish that, two things have to take place:

1. Broadband for low-income families has to be free or near free.

2. Local and national groups will have to be formed to recycle/refurbish the PCs that companies are throwing away when they upgrade. These can be given to low-income households in exchange for attendance at computer training classes held at nearby schools and churches.

It can be done.
