The approach of summer means sunscreen, vacations and special promotions promising free music or ringtones with the purchase of soft drinks or beer.

The new Pepsi Cool Tones & Motorola Phones promotion goes beyond merely including a code for a free download of a tune that anyone can download for a buck or two, however.

Under the new partnership, Pepsi and Motorola are offering access to 150 original music and voice ringtones by Grammy Award-winning artists and producers. The ringtones are only available through the promotion. Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige, The All-American Rejects and producers Scott Storch and Luny Tunes are among the artists who have produced new ringtones exclusive to the promotion.
