NBC tests primetime on-demand with cox.(SHOW TIME)

NBC Universal has been busy making new deals and arrangements to ensure its programming is available on the Web both for a fee (Amazon Unbox) and for free with ads (Hulu.com, NBC.com). This week, the company announced an agreement with Cox Communications that let folks know that it hasn't forgotten that NBC is still first and foremost a television network.

The network and cableco are making five of NBC's primetime series available on-demand to Cox Digital Cable customers in two California regions, Orange County and Palos Verdes, on a trial basis.

Programs included in the trial include returning series "30 Rock," "Friday Night Lights" and "Las Vegas" and new series "Life" and "Bionic Woman."
