Internet-based music label NovaTunes has come out with a promotion, distribution, and purchasing platform that is fair to artists and seems to trust and embrace the consumer, a different approach than usually taken by current record labels.

Launched with a roster of 50 singer-songwriter and guitar rock artists, NovaTunes is going the DRM-free route for all its music.

Starting in March, it will release music from a new artist each week. Fans can listen to full albums by every artist and then purchase directly from the artists.
