- Are Newspapers the Next to Go?

More proof that consumers are getting their information from the Net instead of magazines comes from a survey by MediaFinder.com, the online database of US and Canadian publications

The fact that more magazines went under in 2007 than 2008 would seem to indicate that the recession alone is not the problem. It's far deeper than that as the following companies have shown in their fourth quarter results:

- News Corp., hurt by poor results at the recently acquired Dow Jones, which owns the Wall Street Journal.
