Houston-- During its first dozen or so years, Largo International was about as focused as a company could be. It imported daybeds, metal beds and futons.

The strategy worked just fine -- until other companies decided to do the same thing.

"Due to the proliferation of imports, that category became pretty saturated," said President Glenn Wakefield. "We were finding it harder and harder to grow our business to the level that we wanted in order to be considered a player."
