Pacer's Amlani to serve as White House fellow

President Bush has appointed Ajay Amlani, assistant vice president for strategic planning for Pacer Stacktrain, to be a White House Fellow for the year 2003-04, Pacer announced.

According to the company, Amlani is one of just 12 Americans who will serve as White House Fellows beginning in September, and the only one from the transportation sector.

White House Fellows, Pacer explained, are selected for their professional accomplishment, leadership potential, commitment to public service and other attributes, and usually work for one year as full-time, paid special assistants to senior White House staff, the vice president, cabinet secretaries or other top-ranking government officials.
