Trailer Bridge Delays Filing 1Q Earnings Report

Intermodal trucking and marine freight transport company Trailer Bridge Inc. said May 1.3 that it would delay filing its first-quarter earnings to May 21 from May 14, pending final review by the company's new accounting firm.
Trailer Bridge, of Jacksonville, Fla., said in a May 13 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it expected to report positive net income for the quarter ended March 31, compared with a $2.5 million loss at the start of 2003. The company cited volume and rate gains augmented by increased efficiency as reasons for the turnaround.
