Construction Spending Rises 0.2%

Construction spending rose 0.2% in March, the second straight monthly increase, the Commerce Department said last week.
In other economic news last week:
* Consumer personal spending rose 0.3% in March, the Commerce said. Incomes rose 0.7% for a second straight month.
* First-quarter U.S. worker productivity rose 1.7%, compared with a 2.1% gain in the fourth quarter, the Labor Department said. Manufacturing productivity rose 2.7%.
* The Institute for Supply Management's April manufacturing index rose to 54.7 from 50.9 in March, the group said. ISM's services index rose to 56 in April from 52.4 in March. Figures above 50 indicate expansion.
