Caterpillar Wins 10th J.D. Power Service Award

Engine maker Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, Ill., received a J.D. Power and Associates award For ranking highest in customer satisfaction for its pickup-and-delivery heavy-duty diesel engines. The award is the 10th Caterpillar has received from J.D. Power, a registered global marketing information services firm, for heavy-duty truck engine customer satisfaction.
J.D. Power said Caterpillar received the highest numerical score among pickup-and-delivery heavy-duty diesel engines in the study, which was based on 2,677 primary users of two-year-old trucks.
The award "is important because it is based on the feedback from the end-users of our heavy-duty diesel engines," said George Taylor, Caterpillar's director and general manager of global on-highway engines.
