DOT Seeks Input on Congestion Technology
Transport Topics, December, 2007 by Anonymous
The Department of Transportation asked private companies and governments to provide information on commercially available technologies that could be used to reduce congestion and improve the safety of the transportation system.
DOT said it will choose applications and stakeholders interested in partnering on "SafeTrip-21," a field test of technologies to be launched at the 2008 Intelligent Transportation Systems World Congress.
Safe Trip-21 will incorporate tests currently under way in partnership with automakers, equipment suppliers, and state and local governments in Michigan, California, Virginia, Arizona, Florida, Minnesota and New York. - Transport Topics
