Transport Firms Make Top 50 List Of Military-Friendly Employers

G.I. Jobs, Pittsburgh, a veteran-owned business, recognized several transportation companies in its 2007 Top 50 Military-Friendly

Employer Bst. Two rail companies, BNSF Railway and Union Pacific, ranked Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.

Trucking companies on the list included Schneider National Inc. at No. 6, J.B. Hunt Transport Services at No. 14 and Werner Enterprises at No. 22. Other transportation firms making the list were CSX Transportation, Norfolk Southern and U-Haul.

The fifth annual list recognizes corporations across the United States for their dedication to military hirings, policies for active duty Reserve and Guard members, percentage of veterans hired and veteran recruitment.
