Agents Raid Driving Schools Run by Swift; Firm Not Target

Law enforcement agents last week raided the offices of two track-driving training schools and a Tennessee licensing office in an investigation of possible illegalities in connection with the issuance of commercial driver licenses.
The two schools are located in Memphis and in nearby Millington and are operated by Swift Transportation.
Swift spokesman Dave Berry said that, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI, "Swift is not a target of the investigation."
"We intend to fully cooperate with the FBI and any investigating agency," Berry said in a statement issued on Feb. 25.
The probe is not expected to disrupt the company's Dusiness, he added.
