Apr. 13--KOLKATA, India -- The multinational pharma majors operating in India have set the ball rolling to improve their bottomlines in the product patent era.
Many companies have initiated restructuring exercises to strengthen their presence in key therapeutic segments in which a spate of patented product launches are planned in coming months.
Aventis, Pfizer, Novartis, Eli Lilly and Organon are re-shaping their product portfolio and marketing divisions as per the strategies of the parent company. In short, the MNCs are trying to replicate here the business model they follow in regulated markets like the US and Europe.
