IBM Daksh all set to double headcount.

Nov. 29--PUNE, India -- The company, which bagged the outsourcing contract for call centre operations from Bharti Televentures earlier this year, plans to offer services across industry verticals -- banking finance and insurance, hi-tech, e-commerce and retail, travel and hospitality, HR, finance and accounting.

Pune being a hot destination for insurance and high-end BPO work, the company plans to tap clients in this segment.

IBM Daksh now has a headcount of 2,000 across all three centres. The number of seats will be scaled up to to 4,000 in a year. Daksh-eServices had a turnover over $60m when bought by IBM in June last year.

The staff strength of the Pune centre is around 500. It is expected to rise to 1,000 in a year. The services offered...
