Jan. 29--The excitement in geekdom doesn't end with the Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas coming to a close. It's instead the cue that another grand event is to begin -- the Macworld at San Francisco from January 9 to 13, to be precise.
The event seemed to be swamped by iPod accessory vendors, visitors noted, but it's the unveiling of the Intel-based iMac desktop and the MacBook Pro (the notebook) that actually stole the show.
