From plastic money to plastic fuel.

Jul. 29--NEW DELHI -- You have heard about the power of plastic money. Now it's time for some plastic fuel. FMCG major Hindustan Lever (HLL) is in talks with cement biggie Lafarge to use plastic waste as an alternative fuel.
The proposed project is part of HLL's environmental initiative, to save Indian cities from the fate of Mumbai's deluge in '05 which was largely caused by clogging of drains by plastic waste.
HLL is planning to reuse plastic waste and convert it into an industrial fuel which could be used in industries where furnaces operate at very high temperatures like 1,200 degree celsius.
