Marico launches hair styling gel.

Dec. 17--MUMBAI, India -- After the launch of Advansed Aftershower Hair Cream in 2005, Marico now introduces Parachute Advansed Aftershower Gels. Available in two variants Wetlook and Extra Hold, it is targeted at the young and fashionable male population.
Speaking about the product, Sameer Satpathy, category head, youth products, Marico Ltd, said, "Men today are quite conscious of their looks. The market for hair care in general is also growing, so we expect the gels to be widely accepted as it comes from the Parachute household."
The creams and gels market is worth Rs 50 crore and has been growing at the rate of 45-50 percent, gels itself have seen a 30-40 percent year-on-year growth. The Parachute Advansed Aftershower Hair Cream launched in 2005...
