Steel Authority of India net grows 124%.

Jan. 30--NEW DELHI -- Steel Authority of India (SAIL) reported a 124.2 percent growth in net profit to Rs 1471.2 crore in the third quarter (October-December) of current fiscal over the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

The Q3 performance helped the company achieve its highest-ever net profit for the nine-month period (April-December) at Rs 4,300.41 crore, registering a 47.8 percent growth as compared with the previous fiscal.

During the third-quarter, SAIL reported a turnover of Rs 9,657 crore, a growth of 29 percent, over the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
