Tata BlueScope Steel near Chennai commissioned.

Jan. 31--CHENNAI, India -- Tata Steel is shifting its focus from using steel in buildings into making buildings solutions. Tata BlueScope Steel , the 50:50 joint venture between Tata Steel and BlueScope Steel is betting high on the market for building solutions and coated steel in the south Asia region.
Of the Rs 1,200 crore investment envisaged by the JV, the company had completed its first phase of investment of Rs 350 crore in all the three plants. This included the Pune engineering design centre and its third new manufacturing facility at Sriperumbudur, near Chennai. The state-of-the-art facility, spread over ten acres, was inaugurated on Monday.
