Sony & advertisers may sign truce today.

Mar. 28--MUMBAI/DELHI: THE stand-off between advertisers and official World Cup broadcaster Sony Entertainment Television (SET) is expected to see some breakthrough on Wednesday. According to advertisers, Sony is already giving its remaining inventory, which was stocked up to sell at a premium, as a bonus to the advertisers who signed up on the World Cup.
Media agency sources told ET that SET officials are likely to concede some of the demands made by advertisers. "There have been indications by the SET team that there could be an amicable solution in the offing. They have to give values for the advertisers' money," said the head of a leading media buying outfit.
