Intel pushes multi-core envelope.

Jun. 27--NEW DELHI -- Microprocessor major Intel has tied up with a set of emerging institutes which it will mentor for imparting education centred around its multi-core chip technologies.
These institutes with mentorship from Intel technologists are currently busy changing their existing curriculum on computer architecture and will be starting the new course as early as August 2007.
"Each institute is typically mentoring another 10-15 institutes in its respective region," Intel higher education manager Manav Subodh told Indiatimes News Network.
The Multi Core University initiative aims to change curriculum of close to 150 engineering institutes by end 2008. These institutes will get over the next two years mentoring by a senior Intel...
