                AT&T to Hold 2005 Annual Meeting in San Diego 
 
    BEDMINSTER, N.J., Jan. 20 -- AT&T said today it will hold its 120th Annual 
Meeting of Shareowners at the San Diego Convention Center on May 18, 2005. 
    The company's first annual meeting in San Diego will begin at 9:30 a.m. 
Pacific Time.  AT&T has approximately 82,800 shareowners in California. 
    AT&T expects to begin mailing its proxy statement for the shareowner 
meeting with the company's 2004 annual report in late March.  Shareowners of 
record at the close of business on March 24, 2005 (record date), are entitled 
to vote at the annual meeting.
