UNITED UTILITIES TRADING UPDATE
Introduction
United Utilities today issues an update on trading for the six months ending 30
September 2005. The company will announce its interim results on 1 December
2005.
Commenting on the group's trading position, John Roberts, Chief Executive,
said:
"The Group is on track to deliver results for the six months ending 30
September 2005 in line with our expectations.
"As we grow our infrastructure management outsourcing business, United
Utilities Contract Solutions, we are looking to leverage our increasing scale
of activities by achieving further procurement economies. For example, earlier
this month, we signed a single source contract which means that for the first
