DETROIT, Dec. 2 -- General Motors dealers in the United States sold
281,288 new cars and trucks in November, down 11 percent from the same month a
year ago. Car sales were down 3 percent and truck sales were off 16 percent.
Total sales were up 14 percent compared to October levels.
"November was stronger than October for GM and the industry, but certainly
