ANNOUNCEMENT
Hays confirms that in June 2006 it was visited by the UK Office of Fair Trading
(`OFT') as part of an investigation into possible breaches of competition law
by Hays and other recruitment companies in the construction recruitment sector.
The OFT investigation relates to a small part of Hays' Construction & Property
business. Hays is cooperating fully with the OFT under the OFT's leniency
programme and the Board believes that any financial impact of the matters under
investigation will not be material to the Group.
