Thorofare, NJ, USA-11 October, 2006--Akers Biosciences Inc. (LSE:AKR) is
pleased to announce today that it has received market clearance from the
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the United States Department
of Transportation ("DOT") for its new Breath Alcohol Check .02 Detection
System.
