                          TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES 
 
In accordance with the provisions of Listing Rule 12.6.4, the Board of Hays plc 
advises that on 9 February 2007 it transferred 17,308 Ordinary Shares currently 
held in Treasury to satisfy the maturity of the Hays plc UK Sharesave Scheme. 
2,125 shares were transferred at 151p and 15,183 shares were transferred at 
109p. 
 
Following this transfer, Hays plc holds 105,302,000 Ordinary Shares in 
Treasury. The number of shares in issue is 1,458,794,566 (excluding treasury 
shares).
