SAMPO PLC RELEASE 16 May 2007 SAMPO NEW SHARE CATEGORY COMBINED WITH SAMPO A SHARE CATEGORY Sampo Uudet (Sampo New) share category will be combined to Sampo A share category after the close of the trading day on Monday 21 May 2007. All 1,057,605 shares of the Sampo Uudet category will be traded from 22 May 2007 under the Sampo A category. Sampo Uudet share category was introduced at the beginning of January 2007 to technically facilitate the payment of dividends.
