H.R. OWEN PLC - Offer Talks Terminated.

HR Owen PLC ("HR Owen" or the "Company")
Further to the announcement on 6 September 2007, concerning an indicative offer
for the Company that might lead to a possible formal offer for HR Owen, the
Board of HR Owen has now been informed by the advisers to the interested party
that such party no longer has a strategic interest in making an offer for the
Company. Accordingly discussions have now been terminated.
The trading outlook for HR Owen remains unchanged and the Board remains
confident of the prospects of the Company.
