Kirin Brewery Company Ltd's new brewery in Yokohama, Japan, utilizes modern packaging, materials handling and warehousing technologies to meet efficient and fast-paced production standards. Workers at the Yokohama plant produce five different brews to meet growing consumer demand for individual beers. Five million hectoliters are packaged at the plant annually. The machines are fully automated and overseen by only two workers per line. Kirin also built the plant's engineering facilities.
