Colorado cousin to Coors? (Adolph Coors Co.; sake producer Tatsuuma-Honke Brewing Co.)

Tatsuuma-Honke Brewing Co has opened a new brewery in Golden, CO, for its Hakushika Sake Brewing Co within sight of the Adolph Coors Co Coors Technology Center. The brewery was built in order to brew Rocky Mountain water into Tatsuuma-Honke's sake products. The company will also import rice from California for brewing purposes. Akihiko Totsuka, president of Tatsuuma-Honke, said the rice and Rocky Mountain water would create superior sake. The plant is 69,000 sq ft and has a 1993 production goal of 143,000 gallons.
