Marking the first joint venture in product distribution since Pepsi purchased Tropicana Products Inc. about a year and a half ago, Tropicana announced an agreement with PepsiAmericas to distribute the juice in Puerto Rico.
The complete line of Season's Best 16-ounce sizes and Tropicana Twister 20-ounce PET will be distributed, along with 1,000 initial coolers in retail outlets. The coolers will chill Season's Best, Tropicana Twister, Lipton Iced Teas and Cristalia Water.
"The ability to utilize the sales, marketing and distribution strength of Pepsi in Puerto Rico will appreciably strengthen Tropicana's position in the juice market," says Bob Storey, Tropicana vice president for Latin America.
