The new year marks some changes in the cola category, as Coca-Cola and competitor Pepsi-Cola both update the graphics on their flagship products. Diet Coke, Coca-Cola Light, Caffeine-free Diet Coke, and Diet Coke with Lemon all have a new look worldwide. The redesign made the packaging more contemporary and offers subtle enhancements to the traditional trademarks. The ribbon has returned to the Diet Coke and CocaCola Light packages, creating a link to the Coca-Cola heritage overall. CocaCola Classic product also gained some enhancements, with its ribbon actually comprising a series of intertwined ribbons and a thread of bright yellow.
