Symbol Technologies offers supply chain control in the palm of your hand. The company recently introduced the PDT 8000, its newest handheld device designed to run on Intel's new XScale processor and Microsoft's Pocket PC 2002 operating system. Designed for use on many supply chain applications, the hybrid pen/key-based device is equipped with 64MB of RAM and 64MB of ROM and a 3.9-inch/99-mm. 1/4 VGA color display. The device enables field service workers to access information anywhere, at any time, and permits decision making on sales and inventory from the field.
