Panel selected for 21st Circuit judicial opening

The St. Louis County Judicial Commission announced on Thursday a panel of three nominees to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of St. Louis County Circuit Court Judge Barbara Ann Crancer.

The three nominated by the commission are Kristine Kerr, Mary Elizabeth Ott and Thomas J. Prebil.

Kerr is currently a St. Louis County Family Court commissioner. She was named to the post in September of 2004. She graduated from the Boston University School of Law in 1985 and worked as a law clerk for Missouri Court of Appeals Judge Kent Karohl. In 1988, she joined the Missouri Public Defender System and has served in both the St. Louis City and St. Louis County offices. She also served with the Capital Litigation Division of the Public Defender System.
