Q: The success of the Saudi economy is not necessarily well understood. How do you regard its performance?
A: The economy is doing very well indeed, both in nominal and real terms, on the back of strong investment, a strong oil market and increased government spending. There is strong confidence in the economy, and reforms are on track and initiatives are continuously coming out.
The key messages are that the economy is growing healthily, investment is strong and investors are confident, and this is reflected in both the level of direct investment and the capital markets.
