James Vincent, former head of outside loan origination at Nomura Securities International Inc., has landed at GE Capital Corp. As a vice president of a newly formed unit in the Commercial Real Estate Financing and Services Group, he will be responsible for securitizing or selling an unspecified portion of the company's commercial loan originations, which run to about $5 billion a year. In cases where securitization is the exit strategy, GE will hire a Wall Street firm to distribute the securities. Vincent was let go from Nomura in early August as part of an across-the- board cut in staff.
