The staff at Sunrise Museum is learning that saying goodbye isn't easy as members pack up to leave the historic mansions that have been the museum's home for more than 40 years.

But those grounds will be in good hands, said Ruthana McNeel, director of marketing.

The mansion was sold to the law firm of Farmer, Cline and Arnold on March 27. The firm has vowed to continue the spirit of public access as well as historic preservation.

That was an important consider ation to the museum board when putting the property up for sale, McNeel said.

"They presented a proposal showing their intention to spend at least $1.5 million restoring it to historical guidelines and they're donating 13 acres of carriage trail to maintain and keep for public use," McNeel said. "They...
