State Businesses Learn How To Land Federal Contracts

More than 450 Mountain State entrepreneurs heard from the experts last week about what it takes to land lucrative federal contracts.

The annual "Teaming to Win" conference, staged at Mountaineer Race Track & Gaming Resort in Chester, featured representatives of more than 30 federal agencies, including NASA, the FBI and the Internal Revenue Service.

Co-director Shayne Naugle said the conference, now in its 15th year, is aimed at teaching business owners how to work together to win federal contracts.

"Business is about relationships," Naugle said, "and that's what's created here - the opportunity to create relationships."
