Chesapeake Energy Corp. announced Feb. 4 it would donate $150,000 in scholarships to Marshall University. The funds will support student education in business and engineering.
The five-year program, which was announced during Marshall Day at the Capitol, would direct $75,000 Marshall University and the remaining $75,00u to a nonprofit organization, the Appalachian Leadership and Education Foundation for students studying civil engineering at Marshall.
