DuPont in joint fluoropolymer venture

A joint venture that will market fluoropolymer products worldwide has been announced by DuPont Fluoroproducts and Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Enterprise (KCCE), of Kirovskaya Oblast, Russia. A key purpose of the joint venture is to identify and develop business opportunities for fluoropolymer products in the CIS. The venture will also export KCCE polytetrafluoroethylene to other countries. According to the global business director of DuPont fluoropolymer resins, David C. Sanders, this is a first step towards increased cooperation between the two companies. Long range plans include manufacturing, and to use the combined technology and production capabilities to produce new fluoropolymers to meet customers needs.
