GE PLASTICS TO BUY HANNA'S CADILLAC PLASTIC.

GE Plastics has reached agreement with M A Hanna to acquire most of the assets and business of Cadillac Plastic, a distributor of plastic sheet, rod, tube, film and engineered plastic shapes with headquarters in Michigan, USA.

The move is interesting because one of GEP's most successful developments in recent years has been the creation of its own distribution company, Polymerland, and its integration into the main company structure.

Cadillac's expertise in semi-finished products could fit well with GE's Structured Plastics activities, while its strong presence in South East Asia might also be a strategic advantage.
