Dow expands plastomer and elastomer line.(MATERIALS)

The Dow Chemical Co, USA, has introduced another eight grades to its Versify range of plastomers and elastomers. The eight grades are designed to enhance processing of films, sheets and moulded parts.
The grades being introduced consist of six plastomers and two elastomers:
Specifically, developed for use in flexible packaging, the plastomer grades Versify 2000, 2200, 3000 and 3200, demonstrate good heat-sealing properties, as well as shrink and optics. They also have good adhesion to PP and PE, the company says.
The grades Versify 4000 and 4200 have been created for use with PP resins. They have been developed to encourage easier flow in applications such as injection moulding and extrusion coating. According to Dow, they are tough with good...
