Intel and Summit create backup system for Beltelecom.(Brief Article)

Intel and Summit Technologies have announced that they have created a cluster platform for data backup.

The system is intended for payment operations and was created for Beltelecom ? the majority state-owned national telecoms operator with more than 3m telephone subscribers.

The system is based on the cluster of two Compaq servers equipped with two or four Intel Pentium III Xeon processors and directed by UNIXWARE 7.1 operational environment and Informix 2000 9.1. ((Distributed via M2 Communications Ltd - http://www.m2.com))
